Hello my dear friends,
It is officially the enchanting season of Fall where the autumnal days can feel a bit magical. Although the landscape in Houston does not completely transform to a sea of vibrant Fall foliage as normally seen in some of the other States, there are some visible environmental changes signaling that Autumn has arrived. The days have gotten shorter as the typical scorching summer heat has significantly subsided. Some leaves have turned to the jeweled earthy fall tones providing a beautiful contrast against the greenery and there are the proffering of all the typical Fall flavors, like pumpkin spice and apple cider. For me, Fall fashion is one of my favorite parts of Autumn. Since the cooler weather inspires me to be more creative and experimental in styling and layering different textures and prints, to create unique outfits reflective of my personal style.
At the time I took these blog post pictures the weather was not cool enough to facilitate the wearing of layers, so for this Fall fashion blog post I decided to wear a bold floral cotton midi dress. However, the beauty of this dress is that it provides styling versatility for when the Fall weather gets a bit chilly. In those times, I can simply layer a sweater over the dress or for a more trendy street style effect I can unbutton the dress and wear it as a kimono over jeans and a t-shirt.
The pockets on the dress is a bonus feature, guaranteeing functionality. Whilst the darling puff sleeves elevated the romantic feel of the outfit. Statement sleeves are very much on trend and this detail is a surefire of adding flair and pizzazz to any ensemble. Considering the conspicuous colors and print of the dress I intentionally complemented my outfit with neutral accessories , such as woven wedges, a mustard color headband and a pair of tassel earrings.
This concludes this personal style blog post. As always, I appreciate you all stopping by and reading.
Nicely written Sally.
Thank you Ry!
The dress somewhat mimics the transitional colors from summer to fall. Thanks for sharing the different ways to style the dress…i would have never thought to use it as a kimono!
Thanks Tam . I am glad you enjoyed this post.
That’s a very tropical print, Bear, with bright and jeweled colours. Very cute and on trend this year. It’s like the last bit of Summer before Fall hits. Me likey! Lovely post.
Thank you so much kave. Your comments are always thoughtful and wonderful.
