My Little Dress Overall

Hello my lovelies!

I hope everyone is keeping well. Today my personal style blog post will be about how I styled my  belted dress overall.

Dress overalls, especially denim dress overalls, evoke memories  of my teenager days in the late 90’s and early 2000’s.   I especially remember that it was such a chic and no fuss piece. Recently, the fashion world has revived this article of clothing, giving it a bit of an update by making it more inclusive for all age groups by offering it in a variety of materials (velvet, corduroy and cotton) , lengths,  colors and styles.

I found that the cotton,  olive green dress overall  I wore for this blog post to be such a versatile piece. This is because the solid neutral color means that the styling options are endless and the cotton material guarantees its place in my closet as the perfect transitional piece.

The day I took these blog post pictures it was very cold causing me to style my dress overall by incorporating layers. For that refined, ladylike aesthetic, I decidedly  paired it with a floral blouse. This polished appearance was further enhanced by the flute sleeves of the blouse and pleated neckline. Also, the floral print details complemented the color of the dress overall which added to the  cohesiveness of the outfit. The bonus features; which are the belt and pockets, ensure  practicality and functionality of the outfit.

To complete my look,  I  accessorized  by adding a pair of on trend pearl hair clips and a fun, chain link circle bag.  Hence, I believe that dress overalls is a must have piece in every fashionista’s wardrobe.

Hope you all enjoy this blog post. Thank you for stopping by and reading.

Love,

Salisha

  1. Hey Sal! This outfit looks super comfortable and one that you can wear everyday. The olive colour is so trendy right now and I love the wide belt and floral shirt. Looking great, as per usual and excellent blog post!
